A naturally shed deer antler tip is set in antiqued sterling silver, encircled with a feather stamped bezel, accented with 3mm turquoise, amethyst, and carnelian cabochons. I have not altered the antler in any way, it has the nicks and other markings consistent with a life lived in the wilderness. The ring band is embellished with feathers.
Measurements: Ring face is about 1″ diameter. Antler measures 1-1/4″ tall. Ring is USA size 7.5 or a bit larger.
Antler: A sacred animal with the spirit of gentleness and softness, a messenger, a shaman; maize and femininity personified. Like a crown, the antlers grow beyond its body, bringing it closer to the sky and making it sacred. In many cultures, the deer is a symbol of spiritual authority. The usual correspondences for the antler are Masculine, Solar and the elements of Fire and Earth. Because deer shed and regrow their antlers, the antler has long been tied to the annual death and resurrection of the sun. The antlered stag represents wisdom, nobility, protection, and the cycle of death and rebirth.
Amethyst: Believed to clear the aura. Gives strength, stability and peace and brings new ideas, encourages inner peace, fights addictive behavior, transforms energy. Amethyst is a symbol of sincerity, security, and peace of mind.
Carnelian: To protect against envy, fear, and rage. Dispels sorrow, apathy. Carnelian is a love stone, thought to have the power to awaken passion and desire. It is also said to re-energize its wearer when placed in a bracelet and to aid in natural revitalization processes.
Turquoise: Turquoise represents protection, serenity, balance and strength. It brings clarity, induces wisdom, attracts friendships, luck and happiness. Good for open communication, creativity, serenity, spiritual bonding.
